We have all heard or experienced burnout from working in a high pressure job or working in unchallenging jobs which also lead to burnout and stress. This tedious exhaustion is often the main reason people look for new jobs. But why should we start looking for a new job too? If you are struggling with any of the things below then it is time to research the job postings.
1- If you feel dread and fear that the first working day of the week is approaching after the weekend
Make no mistake, most people hate the first day of the week and prefer to stay warm in their beds while the alarm reminds them they have to get up but if you are always feeling dreaded about the first day of work and wish you could win a big cash prize to stop going your business
It is time for you to start looking for a permanent or temporary job and quit that job
2- If you take permission to be absent because you are sick on a regular basis
Be honest, how many times have you asked for sick leave this year? truly? all of this? If you’ve been asking for permission like this almost regularly so you don’t have to face your job, then it’s time to look for a new job.
3- If you are not working to your full potential
If you’ve been doing your job for a number of years, and now you’re able to do your job well with your head tilted, one eye closed, and not using up any energy, you’ll start to hate your job and the company you work for. Talk at the beginning to your manager, and ask him to give you more responsibilities, and if it does not work, start looking for a new job.
4- If you want to do something else
Looking for a new job does not mean that it is for something negative. Sometimes you have reached the end of the road in a job, and you want to change your career path. This is the best reason given among the other reasons for leaving. You leave on good terms with your boss and with the blessing of the company itself.
If you feel like doing something else, don’t be tempted by negative stories about the difficulty of finding a new job. Start by posting your resume and research. This may be a turning point in your life. Don’t stop and do it!
We cannot mention these signs without touching on the issue of job burnout, which we warn employees against
